Hi all,

My dad's 95 is clattering from the front right over a rough potholed surface.
It doesn't clunk on acceleration/deceleration and cornering doesn't seem to make any difference.
I've taken a pry bar to everything I can think of but no movement. I have fitted poly bushes all round thinking it was a failed bush but still it clatters.

Could it be the top and/or bottom ball joints? with a pry bar under the gearbox there is some movement so thought it may be rear gearbox mount but no clunking under on/off throttle.

Any suggestions welcomed.

+1 for brake caliper movement.
The pivots can wear and then they move vertically a little bit resulting in a clunk. Try braking in reverse and then in forwards to see it this replicates the clatter.

I had the same and it took a while to find, bottom ball joint was loose but difficult to spot as the joint is loaded when stationary (had to have someone bounce up and down on the wing to get the suspension moving
