Can the good folks on here please give feedback on what steering wheel diameter works on our cars?

Hi Rhys,
I’ve just been measuring steering wheels...
I have a 14” wheel on my 96 which I find too small. One problem is I can’t see the gauges properly.
I have measured an early type (grey), an early 70s and a late 70s type and they all hover around 16”.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

I was hoping for a bit of feedback from folks who have tried different sizes, as I have access to new ones of various types (as in I sell them through work) I could choose what I wanted. Let's say a compromise between spirited road and some low key events.
I'm picking it's easy to be too small!

I think the ideal size depends on what you want, both in terms of performance and looks, and what type of suspension and steering rack your car has fitted. Not sure what the standard wheels measure, I guess the earlier ones are 16" and the later "safety" wheels are 15"?
