Gavinc | Posted - 27 Aug 2019 : 21:25:56 Has anyone any V4 Soccerball alloys they would like to sell. I could really do with more spares for the RAC rally in November. Condition not important, tatty is fine, and also any single wheels or incomplete sets would be very welcome. Thanks for looking, Gavin

GeoffC | Posted - 28 Aug 2019 : 16:41:36 Always used steels myself as they could be knocked back into shape at the end of rough stages, i.e. Kielder!! However I see Woody's point so I do know of a source, whether he would sell you any I don't know but he has a few so worth asking! If you pm me Gavin, I'll put you in touch. |
melle | Posted - 28 Aug 2019 : 13:55:24 I have a few 4.5J steels if anyone is interested, can bring them to the UK late September.

Woody | Posted - 28 Aug 2019 : 13:24:17 4.5" steels are probably as hard to get as the soccerballs. Modern rally tyres tend to be lower profile and have harder sides which I have heard bend steels easily. The soccerballs enable fitment of modern rally tyres better. |
Derek | Posted - 28 Aug 2019 : 12:30:02 Are these stronger than the 4.5" steels? Would seem a shame to wreck these if they weren't. An expensive choice if its for aesthetic reasons. IMO of course. |
