Probably sounds that I’m a bit of a cheapskate/tighta*** on this, but I have all the other bits/gaskets that come in the kit.
Does anyone have a spare gasket that fits behind the front timing cover? I have the one that fits between the block and the metal plate.

I suppose it's not good practice and I prefer a paper gasket, but I've used Loctite 5923 to good effect when I didn't have a paper gasket at hand and no time to make one.

Maybe it's my workmanship Melle but I tried that and I've got an oil leak

You don't really need the gasket, liquid gasket will do just as well.

I had to order this partial set for £22 to get that gasket https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SAAB-95-96-1-5L-V4-BOTTOM-END-GASKET-SET-EL-210-E/201039669764?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Think I might just give that a go Melle.
Thank you.
