Evening All,

I am working on my 1968 V4 Cheesegrater Grille and the headlight assemblies are a bit worse for wear.

Can anyone help with the following please :-

See diagram in Chapter 11, Fig 11.22 of the 1966 to 1976 Haynes Manual.

1) six plastic clips and knobs which attach to the chrome Bezel ( item 1 on diagram ).

2 two headlight assemblies ( with holes for side lights) , ( item 2 on diagram ).

2) two Support Rings complete with adjusting screws, springs and wingnuts ( items 3, 4 and 5 on diagram).

3) two rubber boot seals ( item 9 on diagram)

Any assistance much appreciated.

Aye Deggsie,

You are right up to speed with posting diagrams. I am way off the pace.

Anyway, the parts that I need are shown on your diagram at 11.22 and cross referenced to my original post above. The Support Ring, item 3 in diagram 11.22 and in diagram 11.23 are different ? ?
My existing headlights have bulbs but i would change to sealed beams if required.
The sealed beam set up is shown in the lower part of the diagram at 11.23.

I assume that the Headlamp Bucket is the lamp shell shown as item 5 in diagram 11.23 ?

Does anyone have any pictures of the fully assembled headlights ?

Cheers

Excuse my ignorance, what's a 'headlamp bucket" ? - something to do with dipped headlights ?
There are no headlamps in the diagram either, are these in the Electrics section of the catalogue ?

Haynes diagram attached:

Aye, and that's the bit that I need too !

You have however solved another mystery as I couldn't remember where parts 12 and 13 came from

Memory bank gone after 10 years off the road. Next time I will label all the parts and take photographs. I didn't have a mobile phone with a camera ten years ago

Cheers

I couldn't find the diagram you're looking at, but this is from the parts catalogue - hope it helps...
