Just saw a thing on the Internet, about the new Wheeler Dealer crew doing a SAAB 96.
The article says it'll be shown on "Velocity".
Don't have that channel on my available channels.

Does anyone have any idea when the new Wheeler Dealer series (With Ant Anstead) will be shown on other channels?

No, they don't show the whole thing, obviously. What I see is the finished job and numerous times they have shown it on the four post hoist before setting down the final time, and almost every time the underside is a big let down, surface rust, untouched old bolts being re-used, grease and oil not even given a squirt of degreaser, etc. Look good on top...

I think they really don't show the whole job, as such. They have to cram it all into 40 minutes (by the time you take out the commercial breaks).
If they showed a whole resto job, the episodes would have to be hours long....
What annoyed me most about the SAAB 96 episode was chubby cheeks Brewer referring to it as a "SAAB Nine Six", instead of Ninety Six!!!

I'm always amazed at how Wheeler Dealers cars seem to have some credibility.
I have yet to see any where they have done a halfway decent job of any of the underneath. I have seen replaced suspension bushes etc where they haven't even taken the small amount of time to clean down parts, let alone wire brush or similar and paint wishbones etc.
Then claim it's fully restored!

I saw the episode yesterday on Discovery, found it shallow and superficial. No mention of the Ford V4 engine or freewheel at all. I also noticed it had the faulty clutch plate and that the freewheel was not connected (the white thingy on top had no rubber grommet or rod attached to it).

I was amazed by what the buyer paid for it.

is it me or is the front bumper mounted too low?

Deggsie

I'm talking about my mobile having buttons!! Talk and text only, battery lasts for 14 days.

I think it'll probably appear in the UK, on Discovery or similar, later in the year, or early 2018.

The 96 is on series 14, episode 4, from what I can see on the website.

Just tried using my (android) Tablet, apparently the necessary app isn't available in UK - poo !
You have buttons on your phone ? - far too modern for me. The one on my desk has a rotary dial and a separate ear-piece (1920s candlestick - works too)!

I googled this when I saw your post.
More info (including TV providers and other ways of watching (via Apps on Android, Apple and others) can be found on https://www.velocity.com/tv-shows/wheeler-dealers/full-episodes/saab-96
