It has been asked elsewhere, however, is there any demand for patch (repair) panels for the area behind the dreaded rust creating rubber stone guard?
I am currently checking out the viability of making a pressing tool. At least these won't be a liability item!

I'd be interested in trying one.

Ok, I would buy a couple.

They won't have holes for the above reason.

Would it be possible to have the part without holes? I don't find very useful that rubber insert but very ugly.

Any takers, this would be the piece to approx 40 mm above where the rubber rot creator sits, and formed exactly as original.

I would be interested.

I haven't asked Steve.

That's not too bad at all. Malbrad not interested in stocking them?

£15 to £20 per side is the estimated value.

Making small batches of parts for relatively rare, yet low value cars and (at least) breaking even is hardly ever viable. I would expect a sales price of about £30-£35 incl. VAT a side if you have 50 of each pressed, but I wouldn't want to pay nowhere near that much myself.

Hi Rhys,
I repaired this area on one of the wings on my 95 the other day, and the ones on the 96 are sound.
So that's not something I expect to need in the near future. However, if I did, I wouldn't want to pay more than about £15

Thanks Mell, price that folks are prepared to pay, vs what they cost vs how many to make all go hand in hand. If there is a mismatch then it'ss not worth spending more time on investigating. in another group (unrelated to Saabs) folks wanted a very special wheel, then quoted the price they were available for in 1958 as being fair, so I need to know whether they would expect £10, £20 or £30 for example.

I'm a cheap skate and I don't find this a very complicated part to make, so I'm certainly not the first in line if you decide to run a batch. That said, any idea of price?

Nobody wants? Another dead project!

I have progressed this some, now comes the question!
How many folks would be interested, and what is a viable price.
