As so many have done this previously, and I'm struggling so much.. How on earth do you undo the fastenings on the A pillar which hold on the front mudguards. I've got all bar 3 of them, the ones hidden by the door. I have tried taking the pin out of the door restraining strap, failed there too.
I was going to take the door off entirely, but can't undo those bolts either.
So, can someone please give me suggestions?

Thanks Greg, the punch and hammer didn't budge the pin initially. Then after reading your suggestion I took the grinder to the top of the pin and a bigger hammer. I did have to drill out one of the fastenings. The mole grips got me. Now there has been blood, so it will "be a good'un" I do appreciate the input.

I used a centre punch and hammer to pursuade the door strap retaining pins out, and slipped a sheet of corrugated card between the door and wing to protect the paint. Didn't need to take the door off.
Or you could try getting hold of a right-angled screwdriver.
