I am fitting a twin Weber carburettor manifold to my v4 very soon, I’ve been told as this is the early v4 engine (silver engine with the short reach plugs) the inlet manifold is different as are the head gaskets ????
If this is the case does anyone know where I can get one from for this engine ( melle it’s your manifold so I need a gasket if it is different)

I agree with Melle,

Thats exactly what I did.

As far as I know all inlet manifolds and gaskets are interchangeable; the head gaskets are different for open deck engines. If you're building a souped up engine I would recommend using a closed deck block.

I've got a "silver" engine with 4 stud inlet manifold in my red V4 and when I rebuilt the engine I used common/later type inlet manifold gasket ok. I didn't get a special early one. Although I did for the head gaskets of course.
