I would certainly be interested in saving the Bullnose.

As John is no longer interested in the bullnose, I sent messages to Transit8- and Freewheeler, but haven't heard anything back.

If anyone is still interested in the bullnose, let me know and I'll pass on the details.

Cheers,

Simon

Thanks for putting me onto it, I felt the asking price was too much for it as a non runner, however it may be worth what they want if it runs which they did not know, I made an offer but it was not enough, hopefully one of the other guys can do a deal to rescue it, I had to factor in couple of hundred quid to transport from Coventry which just made it too dear

What were they wanting for it? It dosent matter if its running or not, chances are the crank will need re-building. Nick bought a Bullnose in very bad condition for £400 last year from a dealer.

They want £750, but I reckon a visit to the yard and 30mins of pointing out any faults should see them drop the price a bit.

The car/s are in Coventry, if you're interested send me a PM;

Good luck with it Richard, the breakers seem like a decent bunch to speak to and as Richard says if you turn up ready to pay and take it away I am sure they will do a deal, if you give any credence to some of the current asking prices for bullnoses then it could be a real bargain!

Cash in hand and a trailer waiting..stiff upper lip with a .."i was in the area" attitude and you could drive away with it for £500. I bet they picked it up for £60 so a good profit for them and a result for you.

I 'spose it could be worth a post on the UKsaabs forum? I just wanted to offer it here first.

If no-one gets in touch in the next few days, I'll stick it on there, or it may end up in 'rust in peace' in Practical Classics.

I'm actually up that way at the weekend, so I may take a look at it, and the 95 and see if they'll let me 'borrow' any bits off it!

Went to the scrap yard yesterday to take a look . . .

Both cars are now down from the racks, which made it lot easier to check them out.

Firstly the 95;

And now the bullnose;

They admitted the £700 they quoted for the bullnose MAY have been a bit steep, so obviously a bit of room for negotiation, I think they'd be quite keen to get the space back. Any cash offer what its worth in scrap has got to be a good offer!? They mentioned both cars may go on ebay, which is probably the fairest way to assess its market value.

The cars are at Whites Metals Coventry - 02476 301981.

The original photos were taken by Neil Campbell at Practical Classics and he would be very interested to run a story on the restoration of either of these.

Good luck and let me know if anyone buys them.

Cheers,

Simon
