This afternoon (Wed 19th Apr) about 4pm a very smart looking light green (Olive Green ?) 96 turned onto the A4 eastbound at Gillette Corner in West London (some way from my normal stamping grounds in the Highlands, I know !).
It was a few cars ahead of my motorhome and unfortunately the traffic lights changed. Too much traffic so couldn't catch up to get a better view - anyone on here ?

I spotted a nice 96 in the Lincoln Park area in Chicago (here: http://saabandaudibesttech.com) by chance on Wednesday:

Had a wee chat with Mark the friendly mechanic; they roll it in and out the shop every day, but that's about it. He told me they sold a Quantum two years ago, but apart from that, he said he hasn't seen a two stroke or V4 in the workshop in the past couple decades.

On a vacation?

I never understand why they swap the radiator and expansion tank caps.

Martin, if you refer to my pics, yes I was in Chicago for a short holiday in July. The car clearly needed some love: supposedly souped up engine with chrome plated rocker covers, but ropey water hoses, rusted water pipes, missing fuse box lid, missing vacuum advance line etc. The interior was immaculate by the way, I like the US market MB-Tex-like upholstery.

Not exactly a car nor a V4 but I think is very nice. The first time I see a V6 by the way. I thought at first it was a V4.

Not exactly 'on the road' but did anyone spot the 96 in the background of the new series 'Little Drummer Girl' about 2mins in...

Well spotted!
It is already on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azXFktz3UjM

That scene is set in 1970s Bad Godesberg, a suburb of Bonn, Germany. I doubt if there were many 96s in Germany in that time, there *never* were many Saabs in Germany...

Just had a quick search and the 'German' scenes were apparently shot in the Czech republic - Saab's must be even rarer there? And the NSU Ro80 they're driving must be even rarer...

BTW, was watching "Crocodile Dundee 2" the other night, and there is a 96 in the middle of the convoy that sets off on the mission to rescue the girl from the drug baron's mansion!
