The red 900 and the red 96 are mine, sadly neither with me any longer, hopefully the Souvenir will be taking its position on the drive shortly, bit of welding today and engine seems really lacking in power but nothing so far which looks too worrying.

Welcome to the forum!

More pics please, the car looks great, especially with the stance and (Larry Watson?) stripes!

Cheers,

Hi
I've been registered since 2008 so don't know why it thinks this is me first post !?
But thanks for the welcome

This was my first saab that I learnt to drive in when I was 13 so its been around awhile (I'm now 33!)

She's called Anne and runs a 1498 with s&r mani and 28/39 webber and K&N skimed to death heads with a 3 angle valve job and a jetex
Poly bushed arms fliped and swaped side to side to move the bottom shok mount to under the arm , coils have been cut by 3 and shes got gas spax all round

Goes like buggerery and is better on fuel than my c900 Jubilee

Yes I saw you were down to be there John - it was really good. Some excellent class A and B racing too. The two SAABs on the Rally stage seemed to do well. Highlight of the day was a totally uncontrollable Lancia Stratos doing the rally course - or trying to!

Saw an excellent carolina(?) blue 96, k reg in Chesham yesterday, it looked stunning sitting on the drive in the autumn sunshine. Would have stopped to at least take a picture, but we were on our way to view a house...

Does it belong to anyone on here?

Hmm! I'm only just up the road from Chesham, and pass through there occasionally. I've never seen another 96 or 95 in the area at all, so I'm guessing it must have been passing through!

I could send you a pm with it marked on google maps if that helps and maybe you can see if its still there!?

Not sure if the PM'ing is working on this site though, so maybe send me an email to simon_designs@hotmail.com

Also, I might pick your brains about Chesham too!

Thanks,

Simon

Very possibly! I took it down to Charmouth (near Lyme Regis) a month ago. If it had a load of helicopters int the back, that was it!

I have a feeling I also ran the wife to Heathrow in it as well....!

Didn't spot you, so you obviously weren't in the Orange Beast!
