| Only one way to find out! Never tried it myself.
No. 1 might be tricky because of the alternator, can't say much lengthwise.

With this new position of the idle spindle the car starts before it used to, but it cannot maintain the idle. I have to accelerate a bit, otherwise stalls. It accelerates much better than before though.
I think the mix is correct or close to, but the throttle valve is too close, this can be adjusted in the choke device, I'll try this next.
On the other hand the choke flaps are now completely closed.

I changed also the plate blub for a led one. As you can see the light is much cooler, I prefer yelowish but now it is cold and won't burn the plastic. In fact I have to change both because they are cracked.
Anyone have a set for selling?

| You can adjust the idle speed with the screw on the throttle lever. If you can't set it to idling at 8-900rpm it looks like you have a vacuum leak.
What's with the 'IN' numberplate? Lost the 'F'? And you're just like me changing countries a bit more often than average if you live in France now!

| I hope it is not a vacumm leak and that it's only a bad position of the throttle valve, I'll check also the step cam driven by the bimetallic spiral. This opens a bit the throttle valve when cold and maybe does not open it enough. In any case, on cold it accelerates very well what makes me think the mixture is correct. But now it must wait after christmas.
F lost, much better "in" for include. I'll stay in France for a while.

| Another step. The bump stop with a new nut welded inside. Now I can fit or change if necessary the rubber with a metric one.

| I haven't seen another 96 with these mirrors. Are they original from a '79 96?

| No, they're not original. Yours should have Volkswagen/ Audi mirrors fitted (not joking!). Top ones in this picture:
I found the other two on V4s as well. Nice work on the bump stops!

| What I notice is that I don't see too much from those mirrors, the angle of view is very narrow, compare for example with the C900 ones.
Are the 96 original mirrors performing good vision?

| Maybe the reason is that they are completely flat and modern mirrors have a bit of curvature increasing the angle of view. It would be good to keep the body but changing the glass.
