It's certainly a chalet sort of style.

I wonder if there's room for a sauna ha ha ha???......

Very nice, looks very good quality plus good storage under the eaves . Have you a link to their products Andy? I need something the same length but narrower, about 14' wide. They have made a proper job of the floor...

Just go to Lugarde.com. The Inidana, 7 m x 4 m. Sorry don't do silly feet!

Very good quality. 44 mm thick walls. Two double glazed side windows, and a double glazed side door.
Under the eaves will become a log store, plus I'm going to put in a loft for more storage.
I had a concrete plinth put down by a mate, at "mates rates".

I painted the floor myself with resin coat. The advice I had was don't waste your time with cheap B&Q, or similar, floor paint. Looks nice when it first goes down, but soon starts to peel, and looks crap within a year. Also I've got one of those CJ Auto car lifters, (you can see it to the left of the car). It runs on small nylon wheels, so needs a clean hard surface.

The other piece of advice I had was, don't waste your time with water based stain like Ronseal. or Cuprinol for the wood.
I used Sikkens, not cheap, but will pay dividends in the long run. Oil, based, so clean the brushes with white spirits, which is a bit of a hassle, but gives a very nice finish, that should only need re-done every 4 or 5 years. I know from experience with other outbuildings that I have, that Cuprinol is every year or two.

Thanks Andy, agree re Sikkens, it,s used a lot on wood boats. Will look up your car lifter, have not seen that before I don,t think.

The car lifter is brilliant. If you carefully position it, to have the car balanced, you can literaly push down on the front bumper, and the tail end goes up in the air. You can work on the back end with wheels at chest height.Push down on the back bumper, and you can have the front wheels up at chest height. If you want to work under the car, you of course, have to takes steps to fix it at one end or the other. Only slight glitch is that it does not pass the exhaust as you push it under the car, so you have to jack it up slightly on the exhaust side, to get it through.
I also had to customise it a wee bit, to ensure that the lifts pads were correctly positioned on the sills.

CJ Autos. I bought mine at the NEC a couple of years ago.
If you're going to the Resto show at the NEC at the end of the month, I'm sure they'll be there. They usually have "deals" at the show.

You do need a more powerful than normal drill, to make it work though. When I first got it, and tried my trusty Black and Decker on it, it just said "b****r this for a game of soldiers", so I had to go out and buy a much beefier McAllister drill.

Oh, I'm trying hard not to get it too cluttered!!

Nice one Andy. I would love something like that but no room at our house. What about the 'B' does it not get a roof over its head.

The MG has its' own garage, always has had, though it's a somewhat more utilitarian type. You can see it in the background below.

I might try and make that classic show in NI that you sent me info about. Will let you know nearer the time.

Well the Swedish car had to have the nice wooden shed. Aye Kilbroney's supposed to be excellant and a great part of the world to stay in. I must get my act together and go this year especially if the Troll is there!!

The MGB garage is just on 4 m long, so the SAAB wouldn't go into it anyway. Plus, though you can't see it in the photo, the wall of my house is quite close to the garage, making it difficult to get the car in. Even with the MGB, that has a reasonable lock, it's 3 cuts to get the car in, with the absolutely hopeless lock that the SAAB has, I'd be at it all day!

I will let you know if I can make Kilbroney.

ps I tried to PM you a while back about classic meets in NI, and I got a response on my Yahoo E mail account, to say it was un-deliverable.
Can you E mail me on andydeans3, then the UK version of Yahoo?
