1972 V4. I've noticed that when I go over a bump or unevenness in the road the steering pulls to the side and it's a rough ride. I'm guessing there's something worn on the front suspension. I don't know much but I'll check the shock absorbers. What else should I check? What else wears?
The 96 has no steering damper so it's usual for the wheel to tug over uneven surfaces. That said, all the ball joints and bushings, particularly those on the lower A-arms are points to check. I've found the bushings on the exhaust side seem to crack first, probably because of heat from the pipe running a few inches from them.
Thanks Beardydave; I've just had the tracking done and it was way out. Drives fine now; haven't checked the camber yet. The problem arose after I had the driveshaft carrier replaced. He swore he never touched the tracking but he obviously did.
