Does anyone know the nearest colour match to Carolina Blue that is stocked by halfords?

Most Halfords branches will mix tins/rattle cans to a given colour-code, if the code is on their system.
Might be worth a try, although others have reported variable results with the colour match.

Forget Halfords.

Any decent automotive paint shop will mix you paint, according to the colour of your car.
My local shop mixed me a brush paint tin, and an aerosol can for about £25. Perfect match!

Some paint shops have a spectrophotometer that can help them mix paint to match the rest of your car - rather than taking a chance with a paint code.

We used one when we had to spray a new wing on a Morris Minor that had been painted an unknown and non-standard Morris colour - the colour match was perfect.

Simon.

Yes, my local shop has a Spectophotometer, but he has in the past mixed me paint, by eye. He got a perfect match for my Laguna Blue by eye, after about 6 or 7 iterations.
Just using the paint code is never going to work for an "older" car. The colour fades with time. If you simply order by paint code, you're likely to get the shade the car was when it left the factory.....perhaps 45 years ago...

Are you going to the National next weekend?

Thanks guys.
I just remembered that my neighbour's sister works at a place that mix paint to order. I'll ask whether they have a spectro-thingy
