Yes, it's a non return valve and it's supposed to be there.

Another damned hiccup. This was supposed to be the start up after all the work, again!
I have power to lights etc.
BUT I have no action from the starter, just nothing.
I have power directly to the starter from the battery, yellow lead is connected to the small brass stud which I thought was the actuating circuit. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks.

I put the activator wire in the wrong place. All my fault for being so long in getting this thing progressed.

Well, after a long hiatus, Sigfrid is now running and driving. I had to get the radiator leaks sorted, mine is OK now, job done for £25.
If needed I have been quoted £120 for a recore.
I still need to sort paint, and if one of the other projects sells, I'll be keeping it.

Update!
No interest from anyone to buy, so I'll have to bite the bullet and carry on. I have been spending a bit of time each day flatting back the paint ready for the next step, primer. Hopefully very soon it will be one colour (grey) before becoming Carolina Blue again

Glad to hear you found your mojo again with this car. It's probably the worst time ever to sell a car anyway with the economy shrinking more than 20% in the last quarter, although it's said that prices of high-end cars have hit an all time high in recent months. You may well be working on a very profitable investment if you stick with your quality standards!

Melle, I'm not too sure about the quality you mention, but thanks anyway.
Well Sigfrid has come back onto the plans. Another of my projects is sold, so the need for space and money has reduced some.
Where am I at?
I now have new old stock proper Saab front wing driver's side. (I can't get this horse talk about off side and near side sorted), after all I have descended into calling mudguards "wings", and I'm getting a pair of good rear ones in steel too.
Anyone want some fibreglass ones? Primed, drilled for bolts and the fuel filler moulded in.
Interior is still a bit of a contentious area. I know the rivet counters want stock and original, but I've already stopped that by GIVING the exhaust, and inlet away. Worth place in one case, and I was delighted to be able for Melle to grab the original springs.
Paint time is approaching and fast. Carolina Blue and possibly the waistline gets a stripe in Swedish flag yellow. Very non original but fun I think.

I think I've said it before, but it's your car Rhys, so do whatever you please. Looking forward to seeing the new paint.

Good to see you fired up again Rhys.

ps. I am working on my 96 and those wheel mounting studs that you made up have been extremely useful. Thanks.

My friendly painter, with my agreement went with an updated version of Carolina blue. Not really, it's just close but a 21st century colour with more "zing". Yes, non original.
