Hi all,we are at the point of fitting the trim to our Indian yellow project. The panels we have that fit at the side of the seat have a large gap underneath ( 4Ē or so) when fitted. The car came incomplete so Iím not sure if the panels for the rubber bumper panels should be deeper. Itís possible to solve the issue but it would obviously be better to have the correct panels. Iíve only seen one other rubber bumper 95 at Saabfest and at that point it didnít arise so I didnít look . The seat belts donít seem to fit readily and have the plastic cover to go through a panel with no appropriate hole in the panel.

Difficult to tell what's going on without a photo - any chance you can take one and post it on here?

This is the only one I could find online...

Hi thanks for the reply, unfortunately I havenít mastered posting photos. However yours is helpful. The cross bar at the base of the trim on the photo doesnít exist in our car. There isnít any trace of one being removed either. The front seatbelts also appear to mount inside that panel. The current thought is rubber bumper models had different trim cards . It is guesswork because we bought the shell with a lot of parts boxed inside.

The trim panels are different from MY75B. The rear seat, floor and fuel tank are different too and there is no dicky seat. The spare tyre is in the far rear instead of under the rear seat.

Hi Melle,we noticed the other changes but they havenít really affected us. Looks to me as though the trim panels need to go down a further six inches or there should be another panel. Iíve searched online for images and been through all my v 4 books and brochures and still come up blank. I have a solution in mind but if I saw the original this might change.

Here's the relevant page, it shows where the seatbelts go, incuding the plastic insert you mentioned...

that is a great resource for brochures (you'll need an up-to-date Flash player) - thanks for sharing Derek!

Thatís absolutely brilliant thanks chaps. I have been working on the trim this morning and had nearly got there but not quite . The changes are quite subtle but are enough to cause confusion. I think the issue with the computer is I donít only have old cars. . I will report back and try to get my son to post a photo of the finished article.
