Depends if it’s from a transit or a Saab .

Also depends on what type of Ford it's from (they were used in the Euro spec Taunus, Granada, Consul, Capri and Transit and in the Matra M530 as well). There may be numerous differences, the most obvious one being the sump "the wrong way around". The least you need to do is swap the needle bearing in the crank for an 15x19x20 Oilite bush. Ford gearboxes are useless for Saabs. Are they HC or LC engines?

Are you in a rush? I've written a conversion manual in Dutch a few years ago that I've been meaning to translate into English and upload to my website, but I haven't gotten around to doing it yet. I may try and do that in the coming weeks.

I’m guessing they were from burton , ex fire engine transit van , I’ve got a HC Saab V4 1700 with twin carb manifold only found out it was 1700 when I took the sump off nice surprise stamped on the crank 1700 should drop straight in .
Now fitted and running sweet as.
