Looking for the bonnet trim piece that fits above the grill , on the later plastic grill cars.
The screw fixing part on mine has been broken off for some time, and no amount of gluing seems to hold it on permanently.

Photo below, does anyone have one by any chance.

You usually see these with the bottom bar snapped.

Fairly sure I haven't got one of these, but I'll have a look - hopefully someone else can help you though :)

Thanks Simon.
You can see the hole in the front, where the screw base has broken off, on the inside.

Hi Andy, yes I can see the damage and I can see why it might be very difficult to fix.

It would make an excellent part to be 3D printed, but unfortunately expensive.

Suprised no-one has come forward yet with a replacement...

Andy, have you tried epoxy? Give it light key with some emery paper and degrease very well first.

I have a Plan B, if I can't get a replacement!

JB Weld Plastic Repair. Use it to repair and add a small bolt or whatever you need. I used it for a split bumper cover and it was excellent. In two tubes so economical to use. Check it on YouTube. Clean everything well with acetone.
However if you get offered one for £10 that is much easier!

Thanks.
I use JB Weld liquid metal quite a lot, so I know the product.
I will order some JB Weld Plastic repair, and give it a go.

Hi Andy, Havn't got a plastic one but as a stop gap I have a metal version you can have. It will need the metal backplate with the 2 captive m6 bolts I think, replacing as it is rather rusty. There is a slight dent that will need dressing out unless you want to use it warts and all!
It is off a spare bonnet I was given by a friend who briefly had a V6 version which had overheating issues and when he tried to do a single venue rally in it, it promptly ate its gearbox. He had the bonnet louvred at Morgans in an attempt to get more air in and I was going to use it when I competed on the first Pirelli Classic Marathon in 1988 but as it was not a period mod could not do so. Anyway you are welcome to it if required

Martin.
Thank you very much for your kind offer, but I have in fact managed to fettle the old one.
I think I actually have a metal one somewhere, because I have a whole metal front set, grill pieces and all.
I had at one point in time planned to convert my late rubber bumper model, to chrome, but have changed my mind about that.
The car is "of its' time" so to say.
What I would like is refurbished rubber bumpers, because they're getting a bit tired....

Thanks again.

Hi Andy, That's ok it can stay in the parts box! Good luck with the rubber bumpers. Hoping to find some time as things so quiet to do some work on my 1971 v4 but work on the house will get priority. Aimed to get it back on the road for my 70th in 3 years time so might still manage it but not to rally it anymore got the t shirt on that one just as something different for wife and I to go on a Sunday drive in or to pop down the shops.

Martin.
