Hi all
Finally getting round to switching my standard manifold to the one for the solex twin carb. Did not realise that the 2 centre bolts on the manifold are shorter that the standard as the casting is a different thickness. Any idea what thread these bolts are and what length I need for the manifold? Option 2 will be to buy a bit of sleeve for the bolts I guess.
Thanks
Alec

The thread is standard M8x1.25 for all manifold types, I can't remember the length for the bolts for the 2bbl one off the top of my head. Measure for length with something thin you can stick in the hole, or with the back of vernier calipers if you're posh. Should be easy enough to get them off eBay now all shops are closed, they're bog standard 8.8 bolts. You could also hacksaw the old ones to length and cut new threads if you have a die (best to do that before sawing).

If you use stainless, use 316/ A4 to prevent galvanic corrosion.
