I've got a few more pics of the outside of the car, which I'll add in a bit.

I did find out that they wanted 2,500 euros for it and apparently if it hasn't been SORN you have to pay the back taxes on it too!?!

Apparently the engine is in the car and does run, but there seems to be some trim missing and who knows how the seats have dealt with all that sun!

I've asked my contact to check out the floors when he gets the chance.

Re-reading the original email and apparently it needs a new clutch and has a fault with the carb, so that might be tricky if anyone fancied driving it home!




The uplit numberplate is interesting ;)




I wonder if the AA sticker means it was in the UK originally?

I suspect so, hence the rust. It looks like a nasty scab on the roof and the tailgate looks to be bubbling. If it had been in Cyprus all its life there is no way the tailgate would have rusted through like that. I've owned an ex Cyprus 96 and it was 100% rust free.

I was thinking the same, although it does get pretty wet in the winter months and it's by the coast, on an island.
