| Hi all Has anyone come across anyone who sells new rear quarter window seals? Mine like most are quite flat with age and do not seal perfectly and when the window is open one of them rattles slightly. |

| They're a generic profile, any half decent rubber supplier will have a roll in stock as it's a very common type. Can't remember the dimensions now... Your 900's quarter lights use the same profile, if the front seat belts are getting wet occasionally it's time to do those as well!

| I had a British car specialist match all my rubbers here, he said classic Mini rear window profile is very similar, you'd just have to 45ºC them at the B post | |

| Before you condemn them, try this; pull them off; they're not glued, they're a push fit. Put them in very hot water for a couple of hours. They'll be revitalised! Works with rubber stuff; makes it flexible and compressible again.

| Rubber revives well with a good application of glycerine. Cheap at chemists. Rub well in, leave for a few hours then wipe off any excess. | |

| I've never had much luck with hot water and glycerine on old window and door seals. The quarter light and door seals are cheap enough to replace, even if you're tight like me.

| I have used Dupont Krytox GPL105 liquid lubricant to good effect I had some left over from servicing the roof seals on my VW EOS and tried it out on my 96, it is expensive but a little goes a long way.

| I have tried the hot water trick to enable stretching of the material as over time they shrink. I got them to fit in the Troll but they have now come away from the back edge. | |
