| I am just finishing a 2 year project to refurbish a 1973 96 V4.
I have fully refurbished the front suspension including the ball joints, steering joints and rubber bushes. Wheels powder coated and new 155R15 tyres.
I now want to get the toe in, camber and castor right.
Does anyone have a copy of the shim table to help me get this right.
Or any other help on this topic would be very much appreciated.

| Many thanks, I already have this downloaded. Do you know what section the info is under, I could only find the Alignment Figures but not the shim table etc.

| I'm not really sure what you mean by the "shim table"? There's just a stack of shims under the upper control arm bolts that you need to add to/ remove from; this controls caster and camber. Toe in/ out is adjusted by moving the track rod ends out or in.

| There is an old thread on this forum from ‘Woody’. He mentions a table exists that indicated what shims effected the camber and castor. This was some years ago but he appears to email it to another person on this forum.

| Just have a look at the upper control arms and the shims and try to imagine what happens if you remove/ add springs from/ to either the front and rear bolts, or from/ to both at the same time. There's really not much too it, but it can be difficult to get your head around if you don't see it in front of you. I always have my cars aligned at a tyre place, they have all the gear and have it done within an hour whereas it takes ages if you DIY.
EDIT: I just looked it up in the manual, it's section 601 (Chapter 6). I think the table you mentioned is in 601-7 (for radial tyres). To be honest, I didn't know this existed, I've always done it without it the few times I did some basic alignment work so I could drive cars to the tyre place.
