Hi All,
I have a Hella Flasher Unit like this

Sorry for the lack of photo, technical difficulties...

It has 5 pins labelled: C, 49a, 49, -31 and C2. This was removed from a V4 a while ago so I'm confident it could work. In the V4 we have three wires X, P and L. Any ideas what to connect to what for success...?

Did I mention I'm not great with wires...

Hi Gareth,

on the original flasher X goes to the fuse, P to the repeater lamp on the Dash and L to the indicator switch.
On the modern type, 31- is ground (you don't have one on the original flasher), 49+ goes to the fuse, 49a to the indicator switch and C (or C2) to the repeater lamp on the on the dash

Thanks for the info on the wiring Clive. Modern unit gives a real nice solid sound, I think I will fit one to the 96 too.
