Hi Simon, I don't know if you remember but I have a very, very crusty 95 that I had a plan for. Well, I have dragged it into the garage and it is too crusty even for my plan that didn't involve needing a floor! I can poke a finger through almost anywhere on the body - it won't even provide any useful body cuts. I'll probably chop the seat base bulkhead with the chassis number stamped in and save the plates so if anyone needs an id pm me. So I'm stripping it for parts which isn't something I like to do but right now that is the only option due to space and family constraints. I still can't see how to get the headlining out though - where do you start? Cheers
What a hideous job! The best I have achieved is removal of a possible pattern... The fabric was brittle so I found it impossible not to rip. I found the hooks on the wire spiral above each forward rear side window.
However, as soon as I released them the tension (quite a lot) just ripped slots in the lining. Managed to unhook the rear corners but ripped the fabric a little here and have left it hanging at the front as I couldn't get my fingers into the front corners.
Definitely filed under jobs to be farmed out if I ever attempt it again!
