With all this time on our hands, I've been fiddling and fettling a bit, which involved, at one point, taking the bonnet off.

Upon refitting it today, I seem to have lost the little nylon bushing that the bonnet swivels on......expected to find it down in the bowels of the front, but can't see it.
Does anyone have a spare one in their "odds and ends" box?

Your chance to upgrade to an Oilite bushing! Not sure of the size off the top of my head, but you can measure the pin and the hole (measuring the other bush may not be reliable because of wear). https://www.onlinebearings.co.uk/Flanged-Oilube-Bearing-Bush-8-20mm-Inside-Diameter.html

I was thinking about this again, maybe it's not a very good idea after all. A rigid bush may rattle?

Dirtbiker.
I've sent you a PM, let me know if you get it, because the PM system on this forum is a bit flaky sometimes.

I think you may be right.
Anyway, it looks like Dirtbiker can help me out.
