My sump plug had a perished rubber washer on it, thought it should be copper (but is that the gearbox one I'm thinking of)?

Either way, any idea where I can get a replacement?

Motor factors or eBay or maybe just take the plug around to one of the old Heartbeat type garages to match.

But I’m looking for a rubber one rather than a copper one?

A dowty washer or a copper washer, either should be fine.

Provided the "face" of the sump is flat / smooth and not pitted a Dowty seal will be fine; however, if there is any doubt about that then a copper washer is the way to go as it absorbs any imperfections on the "face" surface.

Regards.

Richard.

Thank you everyone!

Another trip to my local(ish) motor factors is in order, we'll be on first name terms soon!
