When I cheked my auction results that Museum SAAB shows £13222 another Lottery winner with time on their hands.
It goes to show how their TV show Bangers & Cash helps with sales.
I'd be reluctant to take any car in that condition on the road these days, apart from on the IOM - when were allowed back.

I'm also a Renault Alpine fan and there was a GTA on there that sold for way over its value at the same auction.
As both SAAB V4 and Alpines are small worlds, the truth will come out, so it will be interesting to see if they really sold.

Who ever bought it must have a screw loose no viewings allowed due to covid 19, so really you buying it blind, there was no history with it nothing but a v5 (I enquired about last week), it sold for £12,300 + vat + 7.5 % around £14,500 ish ,I watched the auction and I think that was bid up deliberately, the first 50 lots auctioned by derek the the next 50 by Dave , except this lot was auctioned by derek ?.. something didn’t seem right about it to me , I’ve got a 1967 ....96 v4 deluxe with 29,000 genuine miles with every mot and tax disc lots of history dating back to when it was new and I wouldn’t think it would fetch £14/£15k who else watched the auction live just night ?

Indeed, a very nice looking car, but what do the wheel arches, jacking points, sills and shock absorber mountings in the boot, look like?

£6k is the estimate, not the reserve, so it might just go for less. Looks like a very nice one though.

The last 96 also SGY222R reg fetched £4414 in Feb 2018 also at Matthewsons.
Their current 96 looks too good to take out.... plus the reserve is £6k.

Great to see him being so enthusiastic about Saab's, it'll be interesting to see what it goes for. I'm always suprised how cheap everything sells for at their auctions - probably worth the trip, when we get the chance!
