Has anyone tried to restore one of these?
Have two that need fettling, and Saab do not list spare parts for them other than the rubber pipes and breather valve.

Hello Woody,

Will be worth giving Phil or Scott a call at J&L Spares Export Ltd in Rochdale, they may be able to assist

I met a chap at Swedish Day a few years ago who used a Renault Kangoo servo and BMC, I thought that was a nice upgrade.

As far as I know the servos were never designed to be taken apart, although, thankfully I've never had one fail on me on any car I've owned. Like the heater matrix in the 96 they will be a generic part, so should be able to find one with some digging about.... The US has been my source for Volvo and a Saab parts in the past.

There are three different types, Lockheed and ATE (EDIT: I just realised that's for LHD cars, not sure about RHD). I've pulled a Lockheed one apart years ago because I was curious; clearly not designed to be repaired and no spare parts available.

Have always assumed they were Lockheed. Will have to look closer to see if there are any markings.

Hello Woody,

Did Saab make their own brake servos, or did the company use one of the recognised servo manufacturers ??

Regards.

Richard.
