Thanks for the link Antti. To be honest, I don't think there's anything wrong with the design of the baffle in the V4 rocker covers. However, I've made mine removable to make cleaning it out a bit easier if required (the l/h rocker cover on my 96 is a modified r/h one, so I have an oil filler on that side as well). Apart from the dripping cap, my system worked fine with the modified BMW PAS reservoir, so that will be put back at some point until I have an opportunity to make something similar that doesn't leak (or as long as I can live with a puddle under the reservoir...). Alternatively, I may try removing the mesh filter from the Mishimoto clone and stuffing the can with pan scourers instead like I did with the BMW reservoir. Do you happen to have a picture of the Opel oil separator?

Here is the link for Opel separator I used:
https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/oenumber/9201848.html
I installed it so that oil should drain back to engine when engine is shut off. Looks like it has been used in other engines as well:

Used the 96 to collect a race recumbent bicycle earlier this week (yes Gareth, another one!) and ended on the hard shoulder due to an empty fuel tank, very embarrassing!

The tank gauge in this car has never worked properly, but the pilot light always did so far, and I normally know when to fill up. Mileage usually averages somewhere around 31-34mpg, but all of a sudden it has dropped to about 24... The engine is running very rich at idle/ low rpm/ cruise (AFR ±9) and terribly lean at high rpm (>±4000; AFR ±17-19), which is a weird combination. It idles and pulls very well up to about 3000-4000rpm, but when accelerating from 50 to 60mph it feels sluggish and powerless. Spark seems healthy (haven't tried another amplifier module yet), so I've stripped the carb (Weber 28/36 DCD) and cleaned all the jets and passages, checked the float for leaks and adjustment, checked the needle, made sure neither the cold start valve or the acceleration valve were sticking, but I found nothing obviously wrong.

Too expensive to drive the bloody thing any serious distance with the current fuel prices, so eager to get it sorted asap. Anyone any ideas? I'm stumped for a change.

Hi Melle,
Even the hard shoulder looks nice in NL!
You know my thoughts on bikes or anything with wheels - you can't have too many!
Nice looking trailer too.
No idea what's causing the running issue though, sorry!
Cheers
