Hi all,
Just wondering what the original colour of a 96 parcel shelf is on or have been? Grey? Black?
Cheers

I think v4 ones are in matt black and two-strokes might have had a light grey.

There's an (expensive) parcel shelf on ebay...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233611490851?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=233611490851&targetid=1140298852493&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=1006624&poi=&campaignid=12126078222&mkgroupid=117237236135&rlsatarget=pla-1140298852493&abcId=9300480&merchantid=6995734&gclid=CjwKCAjwu5CDBhB9EiwA0w6sLftVikfyLrZ-DQ98Nvmtvzox3LIZvutEoYgOWBUJhsZB42Wk_7gxfhoCaRUQAvD_BwE

And here's a pic I took at the last IntSaab, showing what looks like a light-coloured parcel shelf (I was more interetsed in the crash helmets at the time)...

Thanks Simon.
I was going to use blackboard paint but then saw the one on Tradera.
I have the original but it is very faded so hard to tell how it would have looked when new.
Ill give it some thought...

Haven't info for two strokes which I believe were grey. For V4s early ones were graphite grey with light grey rubber retainers upto 1968.
There was a swop over during 1968 with standard Sedan having graphite grey, but the deluxe cars had black which was a glued on leather effect covering.
The rubber retainers also changed to black.
My 1969 model year deluxe had this. The shelf resides in the Troll now.
From 1970 onwards the shelves were smooth finish in a matt black. The back side facing the boot area was unpainted.
From 1975 the shelf was clipped at the front corners to accommodate inertia reel rear seat belts but remained black.
There was an accessory carpet mat that could be placed on the shelf. It had the ventilation holes and came in assorted colours.

Hi,
Original and new next to each other

Went for the kind of matt black used for chalk boards, three coats with a gloss roller.

Can anyone confirm how the rubber seal fits along the rear seat? I think I have it the correct way around but looks like it will be a battle to tease into place...

Thanks
