I have finally decided to sell one of my Saab 96s. After much deliberation I have decided to keep my 1978 LHD Blue 96, and sell the immaculate 1975 Emerald Green 96.

I just want to sound out the forum, to see if anyone here is interested, before I move to Car and Classics, or possibly an auctioneer.

The car is truly immaculate, there is only a tiny bit of post factory welding behind the rubber stone guards, on the rear wings. The interior is almost as good as the day it left the factory. Lift the carpets, almost prefect. Headlining, perfect. Engine Bay and underside, immaculate.
The engine sounds good and runs well. The gearbox is a refurbished unit, that's now only done about 10 000 miles. I know this because it was my refurbished gearbox.
The wheel arches, and underside are perfect. New Jetex exhaust fitted during refurbishment. Re-conditioned seats.

Some history.
First sold to a Frank Hammond of Nottinghamshire in April 1975. passed through 2 more owners to a chap who bought the car in 1989, but put it away in a garage in 1991, where it sat till 2016. It then passed to two friend of mine in Edinburgh, the second one being a car restorer. Once the car had been restored it passed to my oldest friend in life, Colin. When Colin acquired the car, the gearbox was truly knackered, but as per normal, I had a refurbished gearbox under my workbnech ready to go, so we fitted that gearbox around 2022. Colin unfortuntaly passed away in February 2023, so the car came to me.

There is paperwork in the file showing that the speedo was changed, just around the time the car was put away in a garage for 25 years. Old speedo read around 53 000, (old MOT evidence, and a note in the file), new speedo was zeroed upon fitment. Speedo now shows around 25 000, ie total around 78 000 miles. The general interior apearance very much backs this up.
It's a truly beautiful car, that drives very well.
I have more photos, that I can send to anyone that's interested. The car is in east Fife, an hour north of Edinburgh.
I MIGHT be going to Saabfest next month, and could bring it south, but I'm not sure about that yet. Other "things" going on in the background, that might stop me going.

If your interested, E mail me, and we can discuss price, veiwing etc.
